Want to add value to your home...

Here are some improvement projects that buyers find valuable:

Update your windows - New windows not only improve curb appeal but also reduce energy cost.

Makeover on the entrance - A freshly painted door and new hardware has a lasting impression.

Maintained Landscape - A few strategically located plants and a neat yard will impress.

Paint the interior - A fresh coat of paint does wonders! Be very careful on the color choice, easy on the eyes is the way to go here.

Flooring - Lots of homes have beautiful hardwood flooring that has had carpet smothering it for years. Consider refinishing those floors and use area rugs. If you don't have hardwood floors replace worn and stained carpet with fresh and new.

Install new doors - French doors are a real eye catcher for a buyer, but if your door frames aren't that large consider bi-fold doors.

Install kitchen cabinets - Some brand new handles and a fresh coat of paint can do the trick here too!

Improve functionality - Adding a dishwasher and other kitchen appliances to help make tasks easier are a good idea here.

Add new light fixtures - Get rid of that old ceiling fan and those other out of date light fixtures. Contemporary fixtures are in highest demand now, they give a sense of the times.

Add new plumbing fixtures - Installing a new faucet or shower head can add a decorative finish without putting a dent in your wallet.

Regrout tile - If the tiles are still in great shape, clean them up with a fresh grouting.

More square footage - Adding living space is never a bad idea.  Adding an extra bedroom, family room, den, finishing a basement, or even an outdoor deck can be excellent ways to improve your homes value.
